Joining Hands

Business Continuity

One safe pair of hands to the next.

  • Telnet has taken a number of steps which ensure both a high level of security and availability of all critical services - both for Business as Usual, and in the event of failure or disaster.
  • Alternative physical connections to the telecommunications network through both Telecom and TelstraClear provide full redundancy to the telephone network in the event of a failure of one of Telnet’s links.
  • Computer Servers are equipped with redundant and hot-swappable hardware.
  • PABX infrastructure designed for reliability and redundancy
  • A permanent diesel generator delivers continuous power to Telnet in the event of disruption to the normal power supply.
  • All fileservers, network hardware, digital recorders and a number of workstations are 100% protected against power outages or surges with UPS systems, powering systems continuously until the diesel generator starts, and ‘cleaning’ the power feed to within acceptable limits at all times.
  • Computer controlled restricted access to the premises, including integrated 24 hour digital video surveillance and recording to contact centre and building entry/exits.
  • Enterprise-grade unified threat management system, utilising 128-bit + encryption, and multi-level password controls secure access to the computer systems and data.
  • Intelligent disk management provides a high level of data integrity and security. Data is backed up daily and held in safe keeping offsite.
